Quaker Safety was founded as a manufacturer of NFPA 1971 compliant structural and proximity turnout gear and a provider of repair services for its products.
Through the years we have improved our processes, products, fabric offerings, and physical facilities to better serve our customers. Quaker Safety certified its Quality Management System to ISO 9001:2000 in 2002 and subsequently certified its Quality Management System to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015.
Between 2006 and 2016, the Company introduced a series of products with more ergonomic patterning: Axis, Radius, Axis-GPS, Patriot, Axis Athletic Fit, and Radius R4, introduced left opening fly versions of our Axis, Radius, and Axis-GPS pants, and modernized our QS-103, Traditional, and Responder patterns.
Quaker Safety relocated to a new manufacturing facility in 2011 to improve production efficiencies and expand its Cleaning and Repair Department. We introduced eleven exciting new materials between 2011 and 2017 and now offer all of the most popular outer shell, moisture barrier, and thermal liner materials available.
Quaker Safety is committed to attaining customer satisfaction by meeting its customers' delivery, quality, and service requirements and maintaining and continually improving the effectiveness of its Quality Management System.
Quaker Safety will continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of the fire service industry by offering NFPA 1971 compliant turnout gear with advanced designs, customized options and the latest in fabric technologies in addition to an extensive range of cleaning and repair services.
